mascara
Mascara. What a horrible thing. Yesterday I was switching out the laundry and when I came back into the front room I was faced with a major disaster. Dallin had gone in the bathroom and taken my mascara. Within the few short minutes I was doing laundry, he managed to brush his teeth and Brooke's teeth with the mascara wand and then wipe the remainder on the couch. Not to mention the huge black puddles on the floor from all their drool! If I hadn't been so mad I would have gotten some pretty incredible pictures! I put Dallin in timeout which made Brooke go crazy! (She hates it when he gets in trouble)...and then I started to clean up the mess. When I went to get Dallin from his room and asked why he was in trouble, he said, "I brush Brookey's teeth??" I couldn't believe it. He really didn't see the harm in anything that he had done. After all, he was just trying to help her out.

These are the stories you'll tell forever! I wish we could laugh about them when they happened too! I would have been furious as well!
seriously 2 year old boys are a handful. this morning Decker managed to get powdered Nesquik out of the pantry & dumped it all over the carpet in the living room. I can't imagine how hard mascara is to clean up!
I often wonder what it is you do during the day when you don't join the rest of us playing -- now i know. Guarding against unwanted mascara attacks. You gotta love being a mom.
Hi Jen, it's good to hear from you! That has to be one of the best stories I've ever heard! Baylee just LOVES my makeup bag and all its contents! I am sure it will happen to me soon enough. We miss you guys and the Davie Ward. Louis will be getting his interview soon at Nova for the Masters program, so hopefully we will be back in Fort Lauderdale by July! PS. Brooke is getting so big!!
Too Funny! Oh, I can hardly wait for the Time Out days. Your family pic on the side of your blog is darling.
That's why you all got sick!! You because you had to clean it up and your kids because they ate it ( or 'brushed' with it)! Brynlee is just starting that terrible two age (& loves my makeup as well.) ... I'm not really looking forward to it! Anyway i hope you are all feeling a little better. I saw you in Sacrament, but I guess I was too slow when I tried to make my way over to you. I hope Spring Break goes well for you!
Ahhh! I laughed so hard this morning... thanks! When I told my kids, they thought it was pretty funny too! Thanks for the laugh this morning. One day Koby got into my mascara (he was about Dallin's age), but he put it on his eyes and said, "prrritty." Paul was a bit worried and he looked like a raccoon forever, but it is fun to remember when he did that kinda stuff without knowing he was doing something wrong!
Lol. That is too funny (although I'm sure at the time it was anything BUT funny.) I love how innocent he was when trying to explain that all he was doing was brushing her teeth. Cute kiddos!
Oh, I'm sorry. That sounds like a pain to clean up. Someday we'll laugh about all the things our kids do that cause us so much grief.
Hi guys, I have totally messed this up. Wanted to try and send comment, been unsuccessful so far. Maybe this will work. When Doug was 14 mo old he found the Dream Whip. Got pics, if you're interested. I'd take that over mascara any day.
I'm glad you found my blog! Your family is adorable! And who knew that mascara could cause so many problems?
That is so cute. Little kids are so funny, because they think they are just being helpful.
